The foredge has not been trimmed, causing a rather eccentric effect with some leaves extending about an inch further than others, a deluxe style of the period. There is an inscription from the author to an A.M.R. Rolo. A lovely. copy.

A classic divinity or Oxford binding from the middle of the 19th century with inked raised bands, pallets, centre tools to the panels and inked tooling to the boards. Pink edges. Red ruled throughout. Owners name pasted to the endpaper and written on the first blank. Contains the Sacraments and the Psalms of David. Slightly rubbed, but still a charming example of this style.
