London: Newby, 1854. Half calf, 7 inches tall. A neat Victorian binding by Larkins with gilt raised bands, hunting centre tools, twin labels and gilt top edge. Foxing to the preliminaries.

London: Dennis Archer, 1932. Full orange vellum, 10 inches tall. With fine decoration in gilt and black. From a limited edition of only 75 numbered copies, this is copy number 9, containing a signed artist's proof. Very slight cockling, a small neat owner's inscription on the free end paper. Otherwise an excellent copy.

Oxford: James Parker and Co, 1868. Morocco, 5.5 inches tall. With raised bands, gilt titles and black palletes on spine, boards and dentelles. All edges gilt over pink. An inscription dated 1869 on the first blank. Slight foxing to the preliminaries, otherwise a clean copy in excellent condition. Illustrated throughout.

London: Longman et al, 1835. Full calf, 6.5 inches tall. With a raised title and very wide raised gilt head and tail band. The lower panels have dense blind tooling within gilt rolls. Gilt and blind tooling to the boards. Engraved title page and vignettes throughout. Considerably rubbed edges but still perfectly tight and firm. A truly charming little volume.

Paris: Charpentier, 1880. Half morocco, 8 inches tall. A very finely tooled binding by Zaehnsdorf with gilt raised bands and extra gilt panels. Portrait. Edges bumped and some scuffing but a most attractive volume on the shelf.

Paris: Ledoux et Tenre, 1817. 2 volume set, 5.5 inches tall. Charming quarter speckled calf with treecalfed paper on the boards cleverly imitating calf. Twin labels and fine gilt tooling to the panels. A pretty little set.

Paris: Gruel & Engelmann, 1885. Full morocco, 6.5 inches tall. Bound by Gruel in full crushed morocco with gilt titles, all edges and yapp edges. A neat inscription on the first blank. A charming volume in pristine condition.

Chiswick: Whittingham, 1822. Full calf, 5 inches tall. A delightful binding with gilt raised bands, gilt floral tooling to the panels and fine embossed blind tooling within gilt and blind rolls. With the ticket of Campbell of Edinburgh. Lengthy ink inscription facing the first titlepage.

Paris: Dentu, 1892. Half calf, 5.25 inches tall. Charming little volume bound by Fazakerley with gilt raised bands, label and very fine gilt tooling to the panels. Vignettes and full page illustrations.
