London: Arthur L. Humphreys, 1911. Half calf, 6.5 inches tall. An elegant binding with gilt raised bands, gilt panels and top edge. Finely printed on handmade paper. Bound together with 'The Soul of Man'.

London: Collins, c.1905. Half vellum, 7 1/2 inches tall. A very good looking Edwardian vellum binding decorated in the Art Nouveau style with a stylized gilt floral design and ornate label. With numerous illustrations and extra-illustrated with several original photographs dated May 1919 of the Lake District, one particularly picturesque image shows 'The Old Spinning Gallery' at Hartsop Patterdale. There is an ink inscription dated 1905 on the reverse of the free end paper.

Greenock: Daniel Weir et al., 1829. Half calf, 8 inches tall. A charming early Victorian half calf with gilt raised bands, a striking green and turquoise label and interesting sailing ship centre tool. A little fading to the lower board. Bookplate with the Baron's Coronet. With the engraved frontispiece, 5 plates and folding plan called for.

London: The Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge, 1847. Full Calf, 4 3/4 inches tall. A Superb embossed binding with blind bands, gilt title and blind tooling to the panels and elaborate blind embossed tooling to the boards. All edges gilt. An ink inscription to Lucy Hanson, dated 1847, on the first blank.

London: Longman et al, 1825. Half calf, 5.5 inches tall. With gilt raised bands, label and blind centre tools. Portrait and engraved title page both of which are foxed, the rest of the text being clean. Owners inscription on the free endpaper and at the head of the second title page. A charming copy of the eleventh edition.
