    Paris, aris: Michel Levy 1868-1894. 10 volumes, 9 inches tall. Superb full straight grain morocco by Paul Vié with gilt bands, titles and gilt tooling to the spine, the straight grain of the boards framed within gilt and blind rolls, dentelles and top edge gilt. Portrait. One of 52 copies on 'papier de Hollande', initialed by Dumas to Gustave Boulanger the celebrated figure painter. On the half title there is a further inscription 'a Gustave Boulanger - Bonne amitie, A Dumas f'. Two letters from his daughter, Collette Dumas, are slipped in and she has written a further inscription on the second blank. Slight fading to the spines and very slight rubbing to the head and tailcaps. A magnificent…

    Paris: Ollendorff, 1897. Half crushed morocco by Durvand, 7.5 inches tall. With raised bands, label and gilt top edge. The foredge has not been trimmed. Causing a rather eccentric effect with some leaves extending about an inch further than others, a deluxe style of the period. There is an inscription from the author to an A.M.R. Rolo. A lovely. copy.
