No. 9 of just 112 copies, signed by Andrew Tuer, printed by the Leadenhall Press on hand made paper. Armorial bookplate. The original title page, dated 1809, and frontispiece are reprinted in volume I. A beautiful copy.

Neat ink inscription, dated Christmas 1918, on the second blank. Fine set in pristine condition from the library of an Oxfordshire country house.

These incorporate bells and pomegranates, rats and magic pipe. Gilt dentelles and all edges. Portraits. Some rubbing but still a fine and bright copy of these great Victorian poems.

Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1851. 16 volume set, 6 1/2 inches tall. A handsome full calf with raised gilt bands, twin labels and gilt tooling to the panels. Engraved frontispieces and title pages to each volume. With the armorial bookplate of T. I. Coolidge. Foxing to the plates. This appears to be the text and plates from John Murray's 17 volume London edition, published in the United States nearly 20 years later in 16 slightly thicker volumes. A scarce and fine set of these great and highly influential works.

A very beautiful full calf set bound by Zaehnsdorf with an unusual 4 raised bands, twin labels and fine gilt tooling to the panels. Gilt dentelles and all edges. Embellished with superb engraved vignettes throughout. A fine set of these annual anthologies of British verse throughout the centuries.

Gilt corner tools, gilt and blind fillets frame the boards. Gilt dentelles and all edges. Slight foxing to the preliminaries, otherwise pristine. Embellished with 120 fine engraved vignettes. From the library and with the bookplate of Alfred de Rothschild. Facing the title page is the following poignant ink inscription: Natty de Rothschild (Nathaniel Mayer de Rothschild) from his affectionate sister Evelina (Evelina Gertrude de Rothschild).

With gilt raised bands, exceptionally attractive gilt tooling to the panels and boards, gilt dentelles and all edges. Bookplate. Profusely illustrated throughout with engraved vignettes by J. M. W. Turner, Thomas Stothard, and others. These titles are frequently found in fine bindings of the period and these are of a particularly high quality.
