A handsome binding with elaborate gilt tooling to the spine and gilt and blind tooling to the boards, the blind titles being within a sunken panel. All edges gilt. Including contributions by Poe, Marryat, Mitford and Donnelly. With 12 full page illustration, 4 in colour. A manuscript dedication to Miss R B Moore is tipped in. 2 neat previous owners names are in ink on the free endpaper. Some foxing and rubbing to the spine, edges and caps.
