The great Dublin born playwright Sheridan wrote many works, still performed around the world today, including 'The Rivals', 'The Critic' and 'The School for Scandal'. In his private life he was as famous for his brilliant wit as for his appalling behaviour, particularly towards the women in his life and his creditors, to whom he pointedly never paid his debts, as he believed paying his creditors "only encourages them." A superb copy of this entertaining biography.
