London: Bumpus, 1820. Full morocco, 6.5 inches tall. A very pleasing Georgian full straight grain morocco binding with wide gilt raised bands, elaborately gilt panels, dentelles and all edges. The boards are framed within blind and gilt rolls, typical of the period. Engraved first title page. A fine little edition of these celebrated letters, under the still mysterious nom de plume of Junius, in pristine condition.

A fine full Regency calf with raised bands, gilt and blind pallets framing the panels, gilt and blind fillets framing the boards. Gilt dentelles and all edges. The bookplate of the writer Maurice Baring as well as a previous owner's ink name on the first blank. Light foxing. It was published by Carl Tauchnitz (1761-1836), the first German publisher to use stereotyping. A neat little set of these great Tragedies in the original Greek.

Gilt title on the upper board. Handmade paper with gilt top edge and other edges left untrimmed. The bookplate of Gwendolyn Field and neat ink inscription, dated 1918, on the first blank. The spine is faded though still bright. A good looking copy of this fine edition of Shakespeare's sonnets.
