Fine dentelles and silk endpapers. Number 142 of just 150 copies on laid paper with proof Etchings on Japanese paper. A bookplate has been removed, there is some rubbing, a small superficial loss at the tail and the tiny nibbling of a long defunct insect on the turn in of the upper board, but is perfectly solid and complete. A rollicking pair of 18th century gothic stories in an extraordinary fine binding.
