London; Henry G. Bohn, 1849. Full morocco, 7 1/2 inches tall. A splendid full crushed morocco by Tout with gilt raised bands, very fine gilt tooling to the panels and triple fillets and floral corner tools framing the boards. Gilt dentelles and top edges. Armorial bookplate. Born in Ireland, Hamilton fled to France and fought alongside James II, he wrote in a fine and elegant French style. This work is an English translation of 'The Four Facardins'; 'Zeneyda'; 'The Story of May-Flower'; 'The Ram'; and 'The Enchanter Faustus'.
