London: Strahan and Cadell, 1771-1773. 2 volumes, bound in 3, 11 inches tall. A fine 18th century tree calf with raised bands, elegant labels and simple gilt bands. Blue edges. Slightly frayed head caps. From the Library, and with the stamp of, 'Ben Damph Forest', Torridon, the home of the Earls of Lovelace. The third volume includes the vast Appendix, which accounts for its disproportionate size.
