London: The Navarre Societyc. 1900. 6 volume set, 7 inches tall. an exceptionally attractive full crushed morocco binding by the Harcourt Bindery of Boston with gilt raised bands, extra gilt labels and an elaborate heraldic frame of gilt and onlaid green morocco to each board. 6 frontispieces by George Cruikshank. This delightful little edition was printed in an edition of 2000 copies and is based on the Bickers edition of 1871. A splendid edition of one of the greatest English 18th century novels in a superb binding.
