French Scenery from drawings made in 1819 by Captain Batty of the Grenadier Guards.
London: Rodwell & Martin, 1822. Full morocco, 12 inches tall. Full Georgian straight grain morocco with wide gild raised bands and elaborate gilt tooling to the panels and boards. Gilt dentelles and all edges. Some scuffing and rubbing and a dark mark on the lower boards but overall a splendid example of this beautifully illustrated work. With an engraved title page and a further 64 plates which are unusually bright and clean.
