London: Bradbury and Evans, 1856. 8 volume set, 8.75 inches tall. A classic Victorian half calf with gilt raised bands, twin labels and very impressive regal gilt tooling to the panels. This 'Popular' edition is illustrated throughout with full page and vignette engravings. Some rubbing and scuffing but a good looking set with no splitting or loss.
