Princess Elizabeth, Duchess of Edinburgh.
London: Odhams, 1950. Full crushed morocco, 10 inches tall. A glorious binding by Sangorski and Sutcliffe with gilt raised bands and floral gilt tooling to the panels. The royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom on the upper board is framed by a series of gilt fillets and corner tooling. Gilt dentelles and top edge. Profusely illustrated throughout. This modest work is almost overwhelmed by such a lavish binding which has come from the library at Kensington Palace.
