5 vols., 12mo (5½" tall). Full diced calf. Black raised bands, twin brown labels, ornate floral gilt panels. Gilt rule and wide floral roll framing blind diced boards. Marbled edges and endpapers. Contemporary bookplate to reverse of front endpaper. Engraved half title, title and frontispiece plates. Slight wear to spine, boards occasionally marked.
A pretty set of five volumes from the Percy Anecdotes series. Each volume contains a series of entertaining but improving essays on a chosen topic, such as humanity or enterprise.
