GENEVE: 1768-1774.
Collection of the first 24 volumes, 11 inches tall. Very fine full calf with gilt raised bands, twin labels and superb gilt tooling to the panels. This famous quarto edition later continued to 45 volumes. Engraved portraits and plates, some by Gravelot. Some rubbing, damage to head caps and minor splitting to joints, but still firm and solid and splendid on the shelf.
