framing ornately gilt tooled central panel to spine,
handsome gilt border framing both boards, superb gilt
gauffered edges, gilt dentelles and pretty patterned
endpapers. A superb copy.
A very handsome binding, with outstanding gauffered
edges. The Temple is the major work of Herbert, a
series of devotional poems by one of the most important
seventeenth century English poets.
