BELFAST, red label, gilt raised bands, superb floral pattern to panels, floral roll framing large armorial device of Queen's College Belfast to both boards, marbled edges and endpapers. Prize bookplate dated 1860 to front pastedown. A superb set.
Racine was one of the most important seventeenth-century European literary figures; best known for his tragedies, he is often associated with Molière and Corneille.
