SUPERBLY BOUND SET OF THIS FAMOUS WORK.
Paris: Theophilus Barrons, Junior, 1807.
3 volume set. 7.5 inches tall. Full tree roan, with twin labels, gilt bands and panels. Although described as 'a new edition with plates' this set has just 2 frontispieces ( in vols 2 & 3) and there is no eveidence of there having been any more. Some sets of this edition seem to have had none at all. This is a very fine set in an almost pristine binding.
