A pretty set in very unusual bindings, with engraved frontispiece plates. Although less known today, Crabbe was an immensely popular poet and writer in his time. His work was admired by writers including Bryon, Scott and Wordsworth, and Jane Austen even said that she could fancy being Mrs. Crabbe.
