Dibdin's literary reputation was firmly established by
Bibliotheca Spenceriana (1814-15) and he remains one of
England's most celebrated bibliophiles. Lively and
amusing in tone and content, his publications were
particularly notable for their exceptional production
and beautiful illustrations. This title gives a full
account of his previous publications, including details
of the large sums spent on woodcuts and engravings.
