Armorial bookplate. Contemporary inscription to reverse of frontispiece portrait, contemporary ownership inscriptions to title page. Wide margins. A very attractive and unusually proportioned copy.
A very handsome copy of Quarles' immensely popular work. "Enchiridion (1640, augmented 1641), a book of aphorisms, rivalled Emblemes in popular appeal and the number of editions.
