3 vols., 8vo (10½"). Full red crushed morocco by White of Pall Mall. Bindings as good as they get! Gilt band, superb floral gilt tooled panels, titles, simple roll framing the boards, wide dentelles and all edges.
An immaculate set, lavishly bound in full red morocco. Froissart was a French historian and poet, born in Valenciennes c.1333; his reputation now largely rests on Chronicles, an account of medieval European history from 1325 ? 1400, which deals in particular with the Hundred Years' War.
