boards. Gilt outer edges, blind dentelles, marbled
endpapers. Profusely illustrated with engravings and
maps. Engraved frontispiece and half title. Some damp
stains to the text which has not affected the shape or
condition of the bindings.

and educationist, Charles Rollin's Ancient History
(1730-38) was a popular work whose wide appeal was
important for inspiring an on-going interest in the
