First edition. A nice collection of disparate essays, including A Defence of the Alphabet (a skit on spelling mistakes); Anecdotes of Gaming (some amusing stories of Parisian gaming houses); and A Cockney's Rural Sports. Perhaps best though, is the spoof Little Pedlington Guide, a marvellous send up of English guide books.
