tooling to panels. Marbled boards, edges and endpapers.
A very attractive set, with superb gilt tooling to the
spine. William and Robert Chambers were the best known
publishers of nineteenth century encyclopædias and
enjoyed great popular success; however, few copies
survive in such impressive bindings.
