19 x 15". Original blue card box, with gilt braid edges to lid. Original toy seller's ticket pasted to inside of lid: 'H. Pussey, Paris'. Eight hand- coloured jigsaw maps, mounted on wood and edged with gilt braid. Eight maps consisting of: World map in two hemispheres; France; Europe; North America; South America; Africa; Asia; Oceania. Box and maps printed with the monogram 'J.P.L.'. Box slightly worn and world map little faded, otherwise unmarked and complete.
A wonderful example of a late nineteenth century jigsaw atlas, all pieces complete and in their original box, presented in exceptional condition.
