8vo (7¾" tall). Superb full crimson morocco. Gilt raised bands on spine, gilt floral tooling to panels. Very pretty gilt roll with repeated floral device and corners tools framing boards. Dentelles and all edges gilt. Spine and edge of upper board slightly rubbed. Neat inscription dated 1877 to first blank.
A stunning Victorian binding of the poetical works of Hood, from the Chandos Poets series. Hood was a popular nineteenth century poet and man of letters.
