2 vols., small 8vo (6" tall). Splendid full calf, with gilt raised bands and red labels, fine gilt tooling to panels. Gilt and blind framing boards. Frontispiece portraits and woodcut illustrations. Gilt and blind dentelles, marbled edges. Boards very slightly marked, otherwise in excellent condition.
A handsome set of Rogers' poetry. Rogers was a well known man of letters in early nineteenth century England and he was offered, but declined, laureateship in 1850. Italy was one of his most popular works.
